Privacy policy
No account, no sign-up, no ads and no tracking. TallyLine doesn't collect your name, email address or anything else that identifies you.

In short
- The lines you save in the app stay on your phone. We never see them.
- The website remembers a few choices, like your league, in your own browser. They're never sent to us.
- There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the app or on the website.
- We don't sell, rent or share information about you, because we don't have any.
Who we are
TallyLine is an iPhone app and a website (tallyline.io) that show football match statistics and how often each line has hit in past matches. It's run from Sydney, Australia (ABN 99 826 681 269). If you have a question about this policy, email [email protected].
The iPhone app
Kept on your phone
Everything you do in the app is stored on your iPhone only:
- the lines and combos you save in My lines;
- your settings: the league you last picked, kickoff times (your time or the match's), which leagues you've opened, and your recent searches;
- which tips you've already seen.
This is never uploaded to us. Like any app's data, it's included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or your computer) if you use them, under Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes it, and you can clear settled lines in Settings at any time.
Downloading match data
The app checks our server for the latest results and fixtures when you open it or come back to it (at most every half an hour), and downloads what has changed. Like every internet request, this tells the server your device's IP address and the app's version. We use it only to send you the files. We don't keep it or link it to you. Our server is run by Cloudflare, which may keep basic technical logs for a short time to keep the service secure.
No tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code from other companies, and it doesn't ask to track you across other apps. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us anonymous, combined figures (such as how many people use the app); they never identify you.
The website
Saved in your browser
The site uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember:
- the league you picked, whether you're viewing all leagues, and which ones you've opened or closed;
- kickoff times (your time or the match's) and the MLS conference you last viewed;
- whether you've closed the app banner or the welcome note, and the day of your first visit (so the welcome note isn't shown again).
These stay in your browser and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Fonts
The website's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them and Google receives your IP address. Google's use of it is covered by the Google privacy policy.
No analytics yet
The website doesn't use analytics or advertising tools. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Hosting
The site and its data are served by Cloudflare, which handles each request and may keep short-lived technical logs for security.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to fix what you've reported, and delete it when it's no longer needed.
Age
TallyLine is for adults (18+). It isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your rights
Because we don't hold personal information about you, there's usually nothing for us to show, correct or delete; your saved lines and settings are on your own device, where you control them. You still have rights under Australia's Privacy Act 1988 and, if you live in the UK or the European Union, under the GDPR. If you have a question or a complaint, email us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the UK's Information Commissioner's Office, or your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how TallyLine handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
